The First Chase Baby Arrives

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

The first Chase baby has arrived!

Future residents Rod and Benton Jones and their family recently welcomed a new baby boy.

At 11:30 a.m. on March 30, Axel Quade Jones said, “hello,” to the world.

His parents couldn’t be more thrilled, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for them.

We’re eager to see Axel coo, crawl and say his first words at home with his family at The Chase.

The Private Residences on Air

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Recently a new crop of radio advertisements featuring The Private Residences have made their way to the airwaves. Take a listen:

“We are at a time in our lives where we like to really experience the world … but we can’t bear the thought of not spending time in St. Louis.”

“Dream homes do come true.”

“It is possible to live above cloud nine.”

Perhaps you share some of the same reasons for making your home at The Private Residences as the couples featured in these placements! We invite you to visit and see the latest progress.

A Photo Blogger’s Visit to The Chase

Friday, March 7th, 2008

Last month, we came across a blog post written by Robert Crowe of the St. Louis Daily Photo Blog that, along with an exterior photograph of The Chase, mentioned the restoration work we’re doing for The Private Residences. It was the perfect opportunity to invite Robert for a visit; to view and photograph the construction that’s under way.

In this photo, he contrasts a blue elevator with the fluorescent light illuminating from one of the under-construction hallways:

Have a look at the St. Louis Daily Photo Blog for additional photos of The Chase Park Plaza. And thanks to Robert for allowing us to display his photographs.

Making a Bold Move

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

When it comes to a “bold move,” future residents Lisa and Peter Sinton are a couple to watch. The Sinton family visited St. Louis only days before the ninth floor units were locked in, allowing them the chance to tour the displays, pick selections on the spot, meet with their architect and choose closet features before catching a plane home.

We’re so glad that we were able to meet the family’s needs in their tight timeframe. Lisa told me the next day, “We slept so well last night … we love the building, love the neighborhood and are so excited to bring our family to St. Louis.”

When the couple relocates this summer, their 6-year-old and 3-year-old will also join them, adding to the number of families who are choosing The Private Residences as their future home. Welcome home, Sinton family!

With drywall installation around the corner, the ninth floor’s remaining four units will be specified with designer-inspired decor, two in the traditional style and two with a more contemporary flair. Each home will be distinct, of course, with various finishes and fixtures from our on-site design center. No neighbor will be alike!

Have you had the chance to see the progress on the floors 10 and up? There’s still plenty of time to visualize and customize your future home!

Santé Preview Coming Soon

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

The French enjoy fine wine with good wishes for balance. “Santé!” they say as glasses clink. “To your health.”

This custom comes from the belief that achieving balance among the five senses is the essence of healthy living. Bringing glasses together as part of a toast reminds us of the importance of this balance, and symbolizes the sense of sound…harmoniously joining the other four senses that are represented in fine wine.

Inspired by this tradition, Santé Fitness & Wellness Center will offer The Private Residences community a comfortable place to find the balance needed for a life of longevity, energy and happiness. If it’s simply fitness and exercise you want, you can take advantage of Sante’s state-of-the-art, 18,000-square-foot fitness facility. You’ll also have the opportunity to craft a personalized fitness regimen designed to align wellness goals with your lifestyle. Classes will take full advantage of neighboring Forest Park, bringing nature and fitness together. Now that’s true balance.

Residents who will call The Chase Park Plaza home will be our guests at a special event to preview all that Santé offers. Information will arrive via U.S. mail later this month.

The Chase is the Place

Friday, January 11th, 2008

“The Chase is the Place” was a former motto of The Chase Park Plaza, a tidbit we heard in KETC’s Living St. Louis piece on The Chase Park Plaza. The piece was produced and reported by Patrick Murphy, and was recently posted to YouTube. I forgot how nostalgic the piece makes me feel. It truly gives the sense of place the Chase Park Plaza has in this community. Can you believe they built the Chase in just 6 months? That certainly is a reflection of how times have changed.

I love seeing the views from what will be the Penthouse unit – I can only imagine waking to the sun coming up over the downtown skyline or ending the day watching it set over Forest Park from my living room 27 stories up!

As my father Jim likes to note, it’s a true privilege to be entrusted with the stewardship of this Grand Dame for a period of its long and illustrious history.

Choices, Choices

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

If you haven’t heard, we’re in the midst of working with residents on selecting the perfect finishes, styles and colors for their future homes. It’s been quite fun. On a first visit people are apprehensive when they get here, and after about a half hour, I see them relax. Then they’re jumping up to grab different selections and pull samples. Some people really want the display or have an idea of what they want. Others start with a knob or two and go from there.

It’s been great to spend time with everyone and see what’s most popular:

• Kiwi Green granite. It’s gorgeous and unique.
• Parma faucets in brushed nickel.
• Bianca Toscano granite. It goes wonderfully with light colored cabinets and has a lot of depth to it.
• Anything in the display unit. The maple floor, in one of the finishes called Sienna, is a favorite so far.

It will be wonderful to see the units take shape and the finishes come together. It’s exciting!

Director of Resident Communications Beth Niehoff, Real Estate Agent Rita Brumm and future resident Keith Williamson explore finish selections.

Fall has Fallen

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

A few weeks ago we captured the fall foliage in full swing … it was just beautiful. Here is the awe-inspiring view from one of the upper terraces. Where will you be next fall?
